Quitting your job to build a startup can be daunting, and the opportunity cost can be high when it means moving on from a large company. We help those entrepreneurs daring enough to branch out into the unknown, to build companies solving interesting problems. We are dedicated to helping aspiring entrepreneurs develop good ideas faster and connect them with our strong network of mentors and investors to turn their domain expertise and startup ideas into reality.
This Launch program is dedicated to validating pre-product market fit, providing mentorship from some of the best entrepreneurs, operators, and investors in the Seattle-area, and preparing your company for venture investment.
This program is not for those who are “startup curious”. This is a booster rocket for the most serious entrepreneurs working in tech companies seeking to validate their ideas in pursuit of building their company full-time. This program is a way for employees to stay in their day job and continue receiving a salary and health care benefits, while dedicating nights and weekends to their startup, with an understanding that they are preparing to venture out full-time.
What will you achieve in 12 weeks?
Beta users
Letters of intent or pilots from future paying customers
Secure $250K or more in funding - which usually comes after the first two goals
If you don't reach one of these goals, we hope the 4th thing happens: we can kill your idea.
What will you do in the program?
Customer discovery and identifying what to build so your customers will pay
Go-to-market strategy, business model discovery, and financial modeling
Investment pitch preparation and incorporating your company
What is the commitment?
12 week evening commitment on Monday or Tuesday for 2.5 hours + Thursday for 2.5 hours
Meeting with mentors each week for check-ins - expected to be up to 2 hours/week
Up to 2 hours of one-on-one time with an a Managing Director
10 hours a week working on your startup, outside of Venture Out hours
